Recently, a number of important projects have been completed, among them the renewal of the soccer field and landscaping across the campus, especially in the elementary courtyard where the new classrooms with elevator access to the second floor are now in operation - spacious, with good lighting and a superb elementary computer lab. The red tile roofs of the campus have all been washed and restored and numerous smaller projects have given a huge "lift" to the campus. Shortly, the BOOKSTORE will move into new "headquarters", the old 'glorietta' near the administration building, allowing us to use the present bookstore room as a classroom for the Middle/Upper School. One of the temporary buildings near the elementary classrooms now houses a more spacious, better resourced INFIRMARY. Adjacent to the infirmary, in the same temporary building, is the office of our new Professional Development and Fundraising Assistant, Maria Piza.
Continuing from the spring of last school year, we are making good progress in the work on a new STRATEGIC PLAN for the years 2007 - 2012 which we expect to finish by December 2007, with Board ratification expected in January 2008. It addresses all aspects of the school's programs and operations, from finance and facilities to curriculum, faculty and staff, and school community. Many members of the faculty and staff, students, parents, alumni - under the chairmanship of Board members- are participating in this important process. In addition, fundraising has been organized more thoroughly with the establishment of the Board Fundraising Committee and the establishment of an Advisory Council. They key focus here is the planned PERFORMING ARTS CENTER.
The year 2007-2008 is progressing well and very soon the process of re-enrollment and the enrollment of new students begins.
