Golf Escapade 2007 Tournament a Success Despite Rainy Days

The Golf Escapade Tournament, which benefits the Scholarship Program was a complete success despite the rainy weeks preceding the April 28th weekend. The players were very relaxed and enjoyed the day tremendously, both golf courses (Lake and Mountain) were in excellent playing conditions, and the Award Ceremony flowed without the slightest glitch.

On Thursday, April 26th we hosted a Pre-Registration Cocktail for our players courtesy of La Bodega de Méndez and this was a real hit amongst the players who were able to attend. All of those present had the opportunity to register and receive their goodie bags ahead of time, thus allowing them a relaxed morning on the actual tournament day. They mingled and shared laughs with other players, some of whom they get to see each year at this tournament, while enjoying a nice glass of wine or beer and some delicious hors d’oeuvres.

This year was a challenging one for raising funds due to economic situation that Puerto Rico is presently facing. Nonetheless our faithful Baldwin supporters and friends showed their utmost support and this year, to date, just over $66,200 net has been raised for the Scholarship Program. So, on behalf of the Scholarship Committee and Development Office, we extend our grateful appreciation to all our sponsors and contributors:
