Scholarship Program
Since 1998, The Baldwin Scholarship Program has provided talented, deserving students with limited financial resources the opportunity to maximize their potential through the promise of a better future. Now, seventeen years later, our program continues to thrive, and today 9 students are taking advantage of the opportunities that a Baldwin education can provide. There is no bigger testament to this than the fact that since the program’s inception, we have graduated several students from the program; most recently two from the Class of 2014. This year, two more students were added to the Program in 7th grade, and the Class of 2015 will graduate two more!
The Summer Institute
"Instituto de Verano"- the Baldwin School Summer Institute for Public School Teachers and Students was created to affect change in our public educational system, providing a professional development opportunity for local public school teachers. The program also reinforces their students' aptitudes and further enhances their knowledge in English, science, and math over the course of three years. This past summer, thirty third grade students from neighboring public schools were chosen to participate in the Program. They all attended and completed our five-week summer workshop successfully. This summer a new group of third graders will be participating in the workshop, while the same students will return as fourth graders, and in the subsequent summer as fifth graders, to continue their studies in these three key indicator subjects.
