The Center for Research and Innovation at Baldwin

The CRIB will strengthen a design thinking approach to advance our program of inquiry and inspire the next generation of innovators. The 2 story,17,000 sq.ft. addition to our campus will be a transformative space not only for our programs but for the individuals who participate in them. The Innovation Center will provide the Baldwin with an environment where students can gain the skills required to excel in an ever evolving and challenging world. Baldwin will be Puerto Rico's top college preparatory incubator, where innovation and creativity will continue to equip students with the critical skills, empathy, and capacities necessary to address our world's most pressing and complex social, economic, scientific and technological problems.

The Center is intended as a playground for students' curiosity, imagination and ingenuity; those who aspire to become future leaders, from applied sciences to entrepreneurship. It will house an ample Maker Space and Fabrication Lab that will foster ideation, design thinking, prototyping, beta testing, and evaluation. New university grade Biology, Chemistry and Physics labs will allow us to further deepen our Mathematics and Science curriculum.

The CRIB will also house the new Middle Upper School Media Center which will be a state of the art 21st-century learning environment that will foster collaboration and promote the effective use of information and communications technology with an e-library, diverse individual and small group work stations, and additional Middle-Upper School learning spaces.

The CRIB is proof of our commitment to designing and constructing purpose-built spaces that support research literacy and multimedia, computer sciences, applied sciences, and secondary/tertiary language acquisition and development. instill the ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and drive advancements in science and technology while expanding our community engagement programs for low income, public school students and teachers.
