my name is seventh grade students are able to learn about and also I love to go out thank you for the city hi Alden my name is Laura my name is I am new to the Bulls family this year and I teach 9th grade and Y T biology something you may not know about me is that I am a marine biologist with a masters in environmental science so some of my current topics to discuss in class are related to conservation Environmental Studies and Marine Science this is why this semester we began with a unit on marine biology and ecology which was very different and fun I worked in aquariums as a snore diving guide and love to be outdoors so I'm really excited to be a part of Alton and to bring some of those outside experiences into this amazing institution stay safe and I hope to meet everyone in person very soon hi everyone my name is Ashley why and this is my third year teaching 7th and 9th grade math at Baldwin a Baldwin math is an integrated curriculum meaning students work on all mathematics subject throughout the year are the level of difficulty increases and a few new skills are included a great way for students to understand how all mathematics work together to solve problems my favorite aspects about the is the teamwork that exists between students faculty and administration challenging obstacles these last three years we've all people together to figure out the most effective way to work with our students and look forward to being able to rejoin my students in the classroom and I miss the interaction but this team work has helped make our circumstances much Sanchez Historia De Puerto Rico my name is Holly Marie Sanchez and I keep Spanish and French at Baldwin I have been here for 11 years and this I am teaching Spanish as a second language level 1 2 3 and 4 my classes are full immersion experience where students work on the four major language skills which are Reading Writing listening and speaking throughout the year we also learn about the cultures where Spanish is spoken in my personal life I am the mother of three teenage son I love reading I love to cook and I love to spend time with my yes yes hey parents my name is Gregory Schmidt for those of you don't know me I've been in Baldwin since 2002 I originally started as the Elementary School music teacher subject area leader which is basically an IB department chair for the performing arts department and for the past five years I have been teaching in the design cycle so about the design cycle a lot of people call this class a video for. in class which is a bit of a misnomer this class is a design methodology class I just use video as the medium through which I deliver that curriculum there are four criteria in the design cycle classes in the nyp the first is inquiring and analyzing the second is developing ideas the third is creating a solution and the fourth is evaluating or like I like to characterize it to your children identifying app coming up with a plan to fix the problem acting on that plan and then assessing how well that plan worked and because it's a cycle in that fourth step come up with me problems defects so the thing I think I love most about Baldwin is that everybody here is committed to kids and through that we are all committed to our own growth and how we serve kids so we're constantly asking ourselves how can we get better how can we improve how can we better serve our entire class and our colleagues and it's just a really great environment to be working in so my favorite hobby is Mountain making an addition to being a musician I am a Baldwin husband my wife works here Baldwin parents my daughter studies here and my son graduated in 2019 he's in Hopkins now go Blue Jays and I am a Baldwin teacher so bully in back Andreas this is my fourth year teaching at Baldwin I teach music for grade 6 to 11 in the NY music the goal is for us to create a space for students to explore their creativity to learning about music students experience the creative process through active music making fake buys compose and present their own music exposing the great music and then we listen and we analyze that music and use it as an inspiration for them to create their own music The Thing I most loved about Baldwin is the support for the Arts because creative thinking is vitally important and valuable for the development of each student as a musician when there is no pandemic and covid I performers several Puerto Rican ensembles all over the island and a random fact about me is that 10 years ago I used to play competitive Ultimate Frisbee I don't know why that could possibly interest you and I hope you alright take care I'm Bill Collazo I've been working at Baldwin School for the past 30 years I teach instrumental music to grade 6 7 8 9 and 10 the band class with basic musicianship skills basketball forum I'm an advocate for live music performance two for all our school activities the best thing I love about caring and nurturing very safe environment my hobby is sailboats I love to spell hello everyone my name is Nicole Whitman and I join the ball Community this year I teach 9th grade Visual Arts and in Visual Arts the students learn about the elements and principles of art along with developing one of my favorite things about fall when is the sense of community and the welcoming Spirit of its members that is something that is very special and unique about Baldwin and I really really appreciate it and I want to hear a little bit of help myself with you I really really love learning but right now my favorite thing to do is to watch documentaries about nature by hello my name is I've been working at Baldwin School since 2004 started in the elementary school and I've been all over the place and ministration the swimming pool I've been my Master's when I was studying year I got married with some of you guys do know me and Alyssa Cordova I have a kid in the third grade I did finish my doctorate in my I got my license in Clinical Psychology five years ago it's been a long time is that have hair been at the office cool since 2007 I've coached flag football team basketball supervisor weight room been with the tennis team the golf team I've been around you know physical health Wellness education has been at the core of my passionate belief I think a lot of work in Pride and helping design a curriculum that is most that is evidence-based and Fifth Third names of a modern students in contemporary times are very different from the ones that we have now and we're going to have next year about things with a political Memorial natural disaster so I will try to take that into account when identifying with the students and their needs including the obvious lack of physical activity that they have been subject to since this time then it started but I love the most about the school as knowing that I have possible impact in there holistic development especially with student demographic that has a lot of importance not only in our Island for all over the world we have an amazing campers that I'm hoping that you guys get back to with great College Hannah genuinely positive atmosphere hoping I can be a part of that with your kids as well I don't have any unsung talents but I have work hard for what I learn and I'm hoping that I can pass some of us to email me if you call me for anything honestly text and this is why I teach 6th 7th and 8th grade for the the school also know where the officer are physical and health education courses are designed to develop knowledge skills and attitudes that will contribute to a student's handheld device. ragtag learning units in this course will embody and promote the holistic nature of Wellness this course will encourage students to develop effective collaboration and communication skills it also offers opportunities to build positive interpersonal relationships that can help a student develop a sense of responsibility whenever I'm not teaching our kids you may find me working with the athletics department as the head coach for the boys volleyball JV and varsity teams varsity girls softball team and for youth girls basketball team follow me number is April how to make appointment with Bank of America God bless you.
