Six MUS Baldwin’s Chess Club members represented our school in the 34th Ignacio de Loyola Chess Tournament at Colegio San Ignacio this past weekend. All-day-long event for more than 150 chess players from around the Island, including students from schools, universities, and alumni.
  • Sixth graders Javier Blanco and Charlie Riley won 4th and 5th place, respectively, obtaining an overall 2nd place as a team in the Elementary (4th to 6th) grades category.
  • Diego Rivera, solo in Intermediate, won 4 games out of his 6.
  • Alejandro Gracia(11th), Allan Habibe(11th), and Adrian Mendez(10th) reached 3rd place as a team (together with two other schools) in the High School (10th to 12th grades) category, playing against teams with more than 10 players and players ranked in the FIDE!
It was a wonderful experience for them.
