Ely Mejías, our Director of Admissions, is retiring after 41 years of service to Baldwin School, effective October 15. Aileen Rodriguez, her assistant, will assume the Directorship.
Over the past 41 years, Ely has served in many important roles at Baldwin, as a parent, as teacher, as Elementary Principal, as head of Admissions, and as advisor to her beloved Golden Key Club. Ely is a key figure in the immense growth of Baldwin from its humble origins to its status as a premier institution in the world. She was instrumental in the success of our scholarship programs these many years. For more than a decade, Ely has been the face of Baldwin for prospective families.
There are no words that can truly capture Ely’s impact on this institution, nor our immense respect for her as a colleague. Please join me in extending our thanks for a job well done!
