Let's work together

We are reminded by the events of recent days, in a world already turned upside down, that there is much work to be done to ensure dignity and justice for all. The long shadow of history is replete with calls for a more perfect union. There has been progress, but not enough, and not for all. We pray for peace, for prudence, fortitude, and wisdom, that we may come together as one people and root out injustice in its many forms. Let us endeavor to rid the world of poverty, bigotry, and all forms of violence. Let this be our legacy and our children’s inheritance.
