Congratulations to Paola Acevedo '25 who was recently accepted into the Inspirit AI Leadership Fellows program. Paola will be learning from MIT and Stanford leaders in Artificial Intelligence. The program focuses on solving problems in the areas of STEM and beyond. Students will explore the impacts of machine learning systems on issues of ethics, fairness, accountability, and privacy.
Students interested in applying to the AI program, please see the following information: AI + Human Rights: An Interdisciplinary Education Program Taught by MIT and Stanford Graduates (Beginner Friendly)
Inspirit AI is a 25-hour enrichment program that introduces middle and high school students to fundamental artificial intelligence concepts in order to work through socially impactful projects in areas including art, healthcare, education, finance, and more. In the new Human Rights project track, students will explore the impact of machine learning systems on issues of ethics, fairness, accountability, and privacy. Students will design projects to decrease bias in AI, defend against privacy invasions, predict the future of automation, and more. This track requires no previous programming experience and is created by Inspirit AI lead instructor, Katie O'Neil, who is pursuing a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology at Oxford University.
