Preschool Program at The Baldwin School of Puerto Rico

Spotlight on Learning:

Middle School science students used ecology sampling techniques to understand how biotic and abiotic factors affect communities. For this lab, students had to collect fallen leaves and observe them for a period of time; monitoring their decomposition. Later they were to study the leaves under the microscope and determine if any organisms were present.  At the conclusion, their objective was to determine the arthropod density residing on the leaves sample.
