The team trained for the entirety of last year and competed against 53 countries with approximately 500 international competitors. The competition covered Vocal, Dancing, Modeling, Self Accompany, Acting, Variety and Instrumental. Laura competed in the Vocal, Acting and Self Accompany. After the 11 day competition it was obvious that her efforts had paid off as she won 6 gold medals, 2 silver medals, the senior industry award and 4 coveted world champion plaques, making her the grand champion from ages 15 to 50 in vocal and self accompanied original works, vocal contemporary and country. Also placing Puerto Rico as one of the top scoring countries in the world.
