Breathing New Life into Our School Garden

Science teacher, Mrs. Venza, and the 7th grade gardening club have been collecting the soil from the roots of removed grasses from around campus and placing them on a compost collector. In the process, students are learning about the dispersion of grass seeds and grass flowers; and the importance of maintaining the soil that is on the roots. As the work continues, environments will be created in the garden, including the addition of specific plants, designed to attract earthworms, butterflies and bees. We look forward to following the progress in this special corner of our campus!
