Preschool Program at The Baldwin School of Puerto Rico

Join the Earth Recycling Challenge

Baldwin has joined the Earth Recycling Challenge, sponsored by Hugo Neu Environmental. We will be competing against 8 other private schools in Guaynabo to see which school can recycle the most.

1 pound of recycled material = 1 point.  We will receive bonus points for large items, such as fridges, stoves, etc...  (Please email the Recycling Advisor at [email protected] and she will coordinate a truck to pick up the large item from your house.)

The school that recycles the most by April 21st will win the grand prize of $10,000. The money will be put towards making Baldwin a greener and more environmentally friendly campus.

The school needs your help!  Every Monday, bring your recycling to school and drop it off when you drop off your kids.  Easy as that!

Here's what we can recycle:

  • Cardboard: paper bags, file folders, cereal boxes, pizza boxes **please flatten all cardboard boxes.

  • Paper: newspaper & inserts, magazines, shredded paper, mail, mixed paper, phone books, coloring books
  • Aluminum: beverage cans, empty aerosol cans, food tins  **all items must be empty and clean
  • Plastic: Soda & water bottles, detergent & liquid cleaners bottles, plastic food & beverage containers, milk & water jugs  **all items must be empty and clean

If you have any questions, please contact the Recycling Advisor, Jessica Morell, at [email protected].  Let's make Baldwin a greener campus!!!
