Lucia is a celebration of light during the time of year when daylight is very short. There is a procession of children in traditional white gowns, with one dressed as Lucia, wearing a crown of candles on her head. Today, Irma was Lucia and she shared gingerbread cookies which are enjoyed on this holiday! Thank you Anna and Irma for teaching us about a special holiday in another part of the world!
