Uniendo Cabezas por los Niños de CAP

Update: Baldwin students raised  $10,340.27 for pediatric cancer patients at Hospital Pediátrico!

Baldwin is participating in Fundación CAP’s major fundraising event, “Uniendo Cabezas por los Niños de CAP”. It will take place on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente. For the past 7 years Baldwin School has participated by students to raising money and shaving their heads in support of pediatric cancer patients.  This year we are introducing the virtual head-shaving app “Yo Soy CAPitan”.

This event is essential in raising funds to provide medical equipment, better treatment facilities and much needed support services to the pediatric cancer patients at Hospital Pediátrico, the leading public pediatric hospital on the Island. Given the challenging economic scenario faced by health services in the country, today more than ever your support is essential to complete key projects in the Hospital. 100% of funds raised remain in Puerto Rico for the benefit of our children.

By downloading the app “Yo Soy CAPitan” participants of all ages can take a selfie and virtually shave their heads.  The app provides a shaved head look, which can be decorated with bows, kisses and even a crown.  By pressing the “Donor” button, and pressing “Baldwin School” under “Fraternidades/Escuelas”, the dollar amount of your choice can be safely and easily donated as part of the Baldwin Community.  Remember to print your shaved picture and bring it to school to be part of a collage outside Nancy Pagan’s office.

Below is an order form with CAP promotional items for sale at Baldwin. If you wish to buy something you can fill it out and send it in with the payment before Wednesday, February 24. Orders will be delivered to your children’s classrooms in time for our CAPsual Day, which will take place on March 2.  On this day whoever bought the t-shirt may wear it with jeans or they may wear any kind of cap with the uniform for $2.00.

We invite you to be part of this effort to provide our children an opportunity to receive quality treatment in Puerto Rico, close to home and their families. Thank you, as always, for your generosity and cooperation.
