rainbow over the field

Hello! My name is..

Hobbies?

I am a big foodie. I enjoy cooking and inventing in the kitchen besides doing other food related things. I love reading, watching t.v. series, movies, and documentaries. I am concerned about our environment. I recycle at home and always ask my family, friends, and students if they do too. (And nudge them a little about it)

If you could have anyone as your teacher, who would you pick?

Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus because I know I would definitely have fun and learn a lot.

Where did you grow up?

Kissimmee, Florida, USA and Caguas, Puerto Rico

Have you lived in any other countries?

I studied abroad in Trieste, Italy for a semester during college. It was a life changing experience.

Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know.

Since I saw the movie Kate and Leopold I check if the elevators I step into have the name Otis somewhere. A lot of them do. :)

Name one thing on your bucket list.

I would like to stay in an igloo village in Finland. It looks wonderful.

Who inspires you?

My sister, Aunt Julie, Rory Gilmore, Anne Frank, Randy Pausch, Ms. Frizzle, and the main characters of "The Boys in the Boat" inspire me to be a better person, work harder, and make the most of my life and career.

What do you like about your job?

The memorable moments I share with my students and being a part of their growth.

What's your favorite thing to do in Puerto Rico? or your favorite thing about Puerto Rico?

I like that there is always something to do and someplace new to discover. I mostly enjoy its beaches, food, eternal summer weather, and that most of my family and friends are here.

What are your top five personal values?

Kindness. Love. Faith. Fun. Optimism.

What would you sing at Karaoke night?

Bohemian Rhapsody. But with others!

Anything else you would like to share?

I have a Chiweenie named Luke. Luke as in Luke Danes from Gilmore Girls not Luke Skywalker. (Although I am a Star Wars fan).

I am a huge fan of Hamilton. I would love to talk to John Williams and Lin-Manuel Miranda about their creative process.
