Celeste Surís-Rosselli
Director of College Counseling
Celeste Surís-Rosselli is a native of San Juan, PR with over a decade of experience in college admissions. Before joining the Baldwin School Community, Celeste was a Senior Assistant Director of Admissions at New York University, responsible for recruitment efforts in NYC, the Caribbean, Central America, and Africa. Her portfolio at NYU included supervising NYU’s English Language Testing policy, Counselor Relations, and enrollment goals for the Rory Meyers School of Nursing and the Tisch School of the Arts, and she was a member of the Enrollment Management Advisory Committee. She began her career in college counseling as Assistant Director of College Admissions at the TASIS School in Dorado, Puerto Rico, In addition, she was the Model UN Coordinator. She taught both AP U.S. History and U.S. Literature. She proudly serves on the Board of Directors of the Southern Association of College Admission Counseling and is a member of NACAC, IACAC, and CIS. She has also served in an advisory capacity on The University of Pennsylvania’s Counselor Advisory Board and The College of the Holy Cross, DEI Advisory Board.
Prior to working in education, Celeste was an attorney at a boutique firm in San Juan, PR. She is a graduate of The George Washington University, earning her Bachelor's degree in International Affairs and Latin American Studies, and graduated Cum Laude from Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico School of Law.
Ty Widman
Assistant College Counselor
Ty Widman brings an energetic, student-centered approach to college counseling at the Baldwin School of Puerto Rico, blending a rich background in education, communication, and holistic student mentorship. A proud Ohio State Buckeye, he earned his B.A. in Communication from The Ohio State University. He is deeply passionate about helping students discover their unique personal strengths, build confidence, and navigate their educational journeys with a clear sense of purpose.
Mr. Widman draws on his experience as a teacher, advisor, and program leader to create a supportive, engaging environment where students feel challenged, inspired, and empowered to grow. He previously served as an IB MYP educator, 6th Grade Level Leader, and Student Council Advisor at Baldwin. His dedication to teaching, learning, and collaboration earned him the school's peer-nominated 2023 Carpe Diem Award for serving as a leader and trusted resource whose impact elevates the entire school community.
Prior to his career in secondary education, Mr. Widman spent nearly a decade in leadership and operations roles at Lake Bryn Mawr Camp in Pennsylvania, ultimately serving as Assistant Director and managing large-scale team dynamics, group facilitation, and community-building programs.
