hello and welcome back for part two of the parent orientation Series today will be focusing on communicating curriculum information bringing the p r i p communicating about curriculum managed back within the class there you can find Parent Connection attic view of units of inquiry feedback on assessment task midterm and Sebastian semester reports and the school website under the academics time in the p r i p section you will find the curricular handbook program of Industry parent orientation resources managed back information and she saw which is used from pre-kinder to fourth grade and Google classroom in 5th grade are you fine class assignments posting work feedback on assignments let's look more in-depth into a few of these areas Parent Connection in at a glance you are about the units of inquiry and you will find also midterms and semester reports all in management on the school website you will find the details outline about the IB program the program of increase which is develop and reinforce skills knowledge and attitudes that support effective learning social and self-management skills are fundamentally developed most effectively effectively through Play Let's Go Outdoors practicing and reviewing using the work in notebooks as a prompt discuss what has learned at school and practice practice practice there are many resources out there including apps together discuss relevant topics of Interest and research together watch documentaries visit museums and other places of learning in the community what is my role when my child has homework or learning Home Learning engagements let's start with homework homework allow your child how to make mistakes guide them to revise their work if difficulty is present let your child's teacher know and seek advice don't look more into debt on her work no homework in-home learning engagements they are similar but not quite they sound and look different homework is like a handout or workbook or to read a passage or something on seesaw like I said allow them to make guide them to revise your work example if you see the inverted a letter or number once they finish say let's be detectives and let's hunt for the flips figure out the ways to spell correct if you see a difficulty and with Guidance the learner or your child was not able to complete a task please let your child's teacher know so that they can one reinforce at school but also provided by on how you might support your job with that skill set I'm learning engagements learning together support instead of direct your child to the process allow age-appropriate struggle and provide back on learning engagement are a little bit different those are not sent home on a daily basis the purpose is to do it together your child can see your excitement to be a part of their learning your role is to support your child okay not to know and to think together and work through problems together bringing the p r i p home using consistent vocabulary at home as at school how are children develop through the p r i p grade levels with greater confidence and success those are behaviors habits of mind dispositions that really helped us develop becoming
